Ultima VI does
indeed have a Cheat Menu, which allows many options. It can be accessed
by talking to Iolo, and saying Spam three times, then Humbug. The
menu will then appear.
The first option
is the Get Item command. A listing of the first 431 important items
is shown. Note that quality can make a big difference in what the
item actually is.
The second option
is to set the flags. This tells how people will react to you. The
first is whether you know their name, the others seem to vary from
person to person, if they have any effect at all.
Option Three is
the NPC viewer. It allows the checking of the portraits, either individually,
or all in order, the inventories of every character in the immediate
area, whether a given item is carried by anyone in the immediate area,
and the changing of work-type, ie how they act during the day. Worktypes
include a guarding pattern, not moving ever, or instant attack. This
last is very unsafe if used on Lord British.
Option no 4 is
the character editing option. It allows the boosting of ability scores,
level, experience, and health. It also allows access to free horses.
The final option
is the Player Editor. It can change Karma, and what part of the quest
should be completed next. Note that a low Karma is a very bad thing
indeed.
Also note that
holding down Alt and typing 213 on the numeric keypad gives you some
useful information, the last seven digits of which are your location
(3 x, 3 y, and 1 z)
Alt and 214 allows you to teleport.
Alt and 215 advances time by an hour.
