Ultima V : Warriors of Destiny

The Zip File should contain the following files:
README.TXT This Documentation (such as it is).
STSWAP.BAT A simple Batch File of dos commands
                        to perform the swap.
INIT.OLD The Modified file containing the initial
data for starting a new game of Ultima V.

Simply extract the INIT.OLD and STSWAP.BAT files into your Ultima V
directory. Use STSWAP.BAT then the next time you create a character
you will have a much easier time playing.

The STSWAP.BAT file simply exchanges the INIT.OLD file from this
package with the INIT.GAM file resident in the Ultima V directory.
By using the STSWAP.BAT file again, the original file will be set
back into it's original position, and the game will be back to normal.

The NEW start game has all characters who can join given the maximum
attributes and levels. It also has a large quantity of weapons, spells,
armour, reagents, and other useful items.
The party also starts with the maximum amount of food and gold.
The items given do not solve any major quests, but are useful.
The Avatar generated by the Character Creation process will be
substantially stronger in ability scores than normal, but these
still be in the regular range (maximum of 30 unless the player is VERY
lucky). The Avatar still must be built up in experience.

While no problems were detected in using this, no guarantees are
given. Use this at your own risk. I checked this out with both the
version from the Encore Compilation CD and the original without any
trouble.

While this might not be up to the standards of some of the editors and
cheat programs around, hope it's too bad for someone who has to look up
most of the basic Dos commands.
