| Darkness enfolds you as your journey through the Moongate is rudely interrupted. As your eyes adjust, you find distant clusters of dim glows illuminate the walls of a great cavern. A sudden flare of light dazzles you, as a ring of nine moongates rises up around you. Each moongate has a distinct hue, seemingly unrelated to the typical four colours of the mystic portals, but corresponding to those of the distant clusters of light around the cavern walls. A distinct aura also surrounds each of the moongates, as if you can feel some hint of their ultimate destinations. The first moongate glows a dull red. From it you feel hints of great antiquity, and terrible conflicts so vast that their echoes are still heard centuries later. The second has a glow like unto fire. From it you again feel the weight of ages, yet not so heavy as that of the first gate. While conflicts are still felt from this portal, another feeling also infuses the aura - Hope. Golden as the sun is the next moongate. You feel a sense of complacency shattered, as if the hopes of prior ages had been dashed aside by a force from outside. Unlike the first pair of moongates, this portal feels as if it reaches the present, or mayhap even the future... The hue of this portal is wan and sickly. It feels as if all the promises of earlier times has gone for naught. Deep and dark is the aura of the green moongate. It is as if it descends far below the realms reached by the other portals. While its predecessor seemed to open a gateway downwards, the pale blue hue of the fifth moongate simply offers an impression of distance. Whatever places it touches must be far indeed from anywhere you know. Compression and fragmentation emminate from the sixth gate. Spinning and wheeling energies intertwine as the destinations wrap around each other like vines growing from the same roots, or fragments of shattered crystal joined still in mystic unity. Purple is the next moongate, which has an almost undefinable complex aura. It is almost as if the gate leads to an abstract plane of knowlege of the definitions underlying the structure of reality itself. You feel power and fire, companionship and trust, treasure and knowlege. Clawed footprints graven into the stone beneath thy feet lead into this moongate. The final gate shimmers white and grey in the gloom. The surrounding aura is vague, as if nothing beyond has the strength to reach through and further define it. Whatever awaits you must not be close kin to whatever is beyond the other moongates. This site is an attempt to list all the webpages with Ultima content that I know about. It is definitely incomplete and additional URL's are welcome. Note that sites with no content will not be added. The Links are divided into separate categories, depending on what they relate to. This is purely arbitrary, and designed to break up the lists into managable sections. Most sites have information or files which fit into more than one category. These are listed in each category, and the cross-reference is indicated by a letter in the table. The categories are as follows: Below are a number of abbreviations used in the notes about the various sites. You could also check out the UDICtionary for further definitions. U1 to U9 | | Ultima I to Ultima 9 respectively. | SI | | Serpent Isle (Ultima VII Part 2) | UW1 and UW2 | | Ultima Underworld I and II respectively. | SE and MD | | The Worlds of Ultima: Savage Empire and Martian Dreams. | UC | | The Ultima Collection (a recently released compilation) | UO | | Ultima Online | UA | | Ultima IX: Ascension. | UDIC | | The Ultima Dragons Internet Chapter, an Ultima fan club. | You may wish to read the Disclaimer Page before continuing to the links. If you know of a site which you believe should be listed here, please let me know. ~Paulon.
